6 Simple Ways for Marketing Your Business During a Recession

The economic downtrend during a recession doesn’t mean it will drag your business down. A recession is actually a right period for business owners to tightly monitor their marketing activities or rethink about business strategies changing and optimize business efficiency. When the economy is turning down, as a business man, you should focus on survival first, not plan for growth. Since there are changing in customer behavior that they tend to evaluate their purchasing priorities and more emphasize to the value of the product; it’s also the right time for you to rebuild your product’s value.

The general reaction during recession is to cut all types of expenses. Instead of being panic by reducing all spending, you should think in a way that the economic recession gives the opportunity to explore new marketing strategies. Since the aims are to retain existing customers and to gain new customers; a progressive marketing of your most valued products in a less cost is a must to do during this economic crisis.

Here are some marketing strategies that can be applied during recession:

1. Invest in brand of most valued product or service. Regardless of recession, to attract lots of customers, a business owner must build the brand of product or service more by spreading sales and marketing campaigns progressively. You may cut other costs, but advertising cost should not be included. Maintaining the sales rate is a chance of survival.

2. Website marketing. You can promote your business online using lots of free hosting web service. It is good to make a marketing website that functions as a means to keep the existing customer base. There should a feature to maintain connections with present customers since customers are reluctant to deal with unknown product or service suppliers. The web should also contain all business information clearly without overselling. Avoid the unwanted information or excessive sales offers that may annoy customers.

3. Internet marketing tools. You can make the best use of e-mail marketing. With free cost, you are able to reach your targeted customers list by sending regularly email which contains newsletter on your updated business information. The benefit that you get is providing your existing customers with updated business information and spreading the same information to attain new targeted customers.

Be more active in every community event in your area such as charity event, Independence Day celebration, etc. The main objective of verbal advertising is a significant increasing in awareness of your business existence and positive images. With a simple verbal advertising, you can grasp the aim in just a low cost.

5. Take a benefit of a media. Usually there is business press release section which presented on radio, printed and online media. If there is interesting business event happened that is proper to be publicized, you can publish a press release using each media. Published press release on different kinds of media could be an effective marketing tool in less expensive way to increase public consciousness during recession.

6. Build a network of partnership. You may not be able to survive recession on your own. Create a network of trust between other businesses of the similar product line and face the economic recession together. Before applying this strategy, you had to build solid and strong product’s brand with niche market first. Otherwise, instead of increasing in business existence, your business will get drowned among other business.

Allicin for Infections: Treat and Prevent Infections Naturally with Allicin

What is Allicin?

Allicin is a compound contained in garlic. Chemically is an organic compound that contains a thiosulfinate functional group. In addition to its many other health benefits (allicin has antioxidant activity, anti-inflammatory capacity, cardiovascular regulating activity, and cancer preventing properties), allicin is a powerful antibacterial compound that may be used to treat and prevent infections.

Allicin has been found to be able to kill many types of bacteria including Salmonella, E. Coli, Clostridium, Bacillus cereus, Helicobacter pylori, Streptococcus, Pseudomonas, and many others. In addition to its antibacterial activity, allicin also exhibits antifungal and antiviral activities. So, allicin can truly be used to treat and prevent many types of infections.

Allicin for treating and preventing infections

You can get enough allicin to treat and prevent infection by consuming garlic on a daily basis. However, be aware that allicin is not readily available in fresh garlic. Allicin is formed by the action of an enzyme (alliinase) upon crushing a garlic glove. A precursor (allin) is transformed in allicin by the enzyme.

The enzyme alliinase can not survive digestion (the low pH of the stomach will quickly deactivate the enzyme). Thus, ingesting raw garlic will not reap the full beneficial antibacterial effects of allicin. If you want to get a significant amount of allicin with your garlic consumption you will need to crush the garlic glove and let it stand for a few minutes before ingesting it. In this way you are absolutely sure to have allicin within your garlic glove.

To treat or prevent infections in minor cuts and bruises on your skin you can also use allicin from garlic. To do this crush garlic and apply over the cut or place the garlic on a small piece of cheesecloth, and place the cloth over the wound.

One of the potential issues with consuming garlic is the bad breath problem. Consuming garlic on a daily basis will surely produce some garlic odor coming out from your mouth. If you can not tolerate this odor you can use garlic supplements. However, you need to look for the allicin content of these supplements. Some of them may not even contain allicin at all. To treat and prevent effectively infections with garlic supplement you need to have allicin in it.

Garlic has many potential health benefits. Garlic can produce allicin (and many other organic compounds) with antibacterial, antifungal, anti parasitic and antiviral properties. These compounds, including allicin, can effectively be used to prevent and treat infections. The easy way to this is to eat a crushed glove of garlic on a daily basis. Use the power of allicin to your advantage to treat and prevent infections,

Anorexia: An Aversion to Food or Extremely Small Appetite

An aversion to food or extremely small appetite defines anorexia, which is derivative of the Greek (privation, lack of)–and, orexis (appetite). ANOREXIA OR ANOREXY (lack of appetite) first came into use in the 16th century (DiNicola 169). Ephemeral anorexia has been felt by most (i.e. during a flu, cold, emotional trauma, or the night preceding an exam). And, “a host of somatic conditions, from blockages in the alimentary system to hormonal imbalaonces, may cause an aversion to food in general” (Bell 1). The term ANOREXIA NERVOSA is somewhat deceptive; appetite is not lost by many possessing the illness. “Hungry or not, victims of anorexia nervosa voluntarily starve themselves to the point at which their lives are at risk, and reported mortality rates range from 10 to as high as 20 percent” (Bell 2).

Research and current clinical criteria for the eating disorder anorexia nervosa (DSM-IV-R) include: “refusal to maintain body weight over a minimal normal weight for age and height; intense fear of gaining weight or becoming fat, even though underweight; a distorted body image; and amenorrhoea (in females)” (DiNicola 169). Early medical history of anorexia nervosa conceivably was observed by ancient physicians. “Two Italian writers, Accornero (1943) and Baraldi (1952), have claimed that the earliest account of anorexia nervosa was given by Simone Porta, a sixteenth century Genoverse” (DiNicola 171).

A 1694 treatise by Richard Morton on tubercular disease reported on phthiisis nervosa –a nervous atrophy condition. This is the earliest understood attempt at describing anorexia nervosa. (Brownell and Foreyt 232). Most noteworthy were Morton’s observations: “mutual influences between mental and bodily processes operating in these patients and the pathogenic role of the emotions heralded contemporary thought. (Brownell and Foreyt 232).

An English scientist, Richard Whytt, as reported by Strober indicated in 1767 “that the cause of unusual food aversion and states of compulsive-like food cravings could be localized in the gastric nerves” (Brownell and Foreyt 233). Additionally, one hundred years later another London physician, Gerald Russell, defined distinguishing characteristics concerning anorexia nervosa and bulimia–as well as more explicit observations correlating with the family and personality.) (DiNicola 169).

3 Tips for Playing Mega Jump on the iPhone

Mega Jump is one of the best free games on the iPhone. Often gaming companies use words like “addictive” to describe iPhone games – this is because the game itself is so simple that the only way you’d keep playing is if you found something addictive about the game. Still, the games are usually not very good, and most people finish playing within a few hours.

Mega Jump is a simple game that is truly addictive. It is one of the only games with great colors, easy to use gameplay, few bugs and the ability to excel if you have the skill and balance to keep reaching the coins with your character. Mega Jump is one of the few games that should be on every iPhone, and since Mega Jump is 100% free, there is no downside to installing it from the app store.

If you have Mega Jump installed on your iPhone, here are several tips to help you excel and improve your gaming experience.

Mega Jump Tips

Upgrade the Magnet First

Collecting coins is important to help you win Mega Points, but collecting coins can be a slow process. To speed it up, you should first spend all of your Mega Points upgrading the boosts that help you collect coins the best. That will allow you to upgrade the other boosts faster, because you’ll be collecting more coins, and ultimately more MPs.

The magnet is the best boost to upgrade in Mega Jump. The final upgrade (the red magnet) not only collects every coin you pass, but it also turns them into 2x coins. Every time you get the magnet you’ll be collecting over 500 coins, which is the equivalent of 50 Mega Points. Follow that up with the umbrella. The umbrella is pretty useless at first, but the final umbrella upgrade pulls in coins from everywhere and helps them build up fast.

Go Back to Level 1

When you’re trying to collect coins in Mega Jump, always remember to restart at level 1. Levels 1-3 are the easiest levels for collecting coins. Once you get to level 4, there are a lot more traps and a lot fewer coins, making it harder to collect them. Assuming your goal is to collect as many coins as possible so that you can get the maximum upgrades, always restart at level 1.

Avoid the Unlocking the Power Shield, Lucky Blast, Jump Boosts, and Anti-Gravity Boots

All of those are going to be useful eventually for powering through Mega Jump levels 4 through 20, but your primary goal should be to get as many coins and MPs as possible. The only way to do that is to only spend your MPs on the boosts that will help you get more coins so that you can upgrade faster. Then build up your stash so that you have all of the MPs you will ever need. Only then is it worth upgrading/unlocking those items.

Be Patient

The best thing you can do to improve your Mega Jump experience is to build up as many thousands and thousands of MPs as possible so that you can unlock as much as possible. Then use those upgrades to power through Mega Jump. It will make the gameplay a little easier, but still have enough difficulty to be fun, time consuming, and genuinely addicting.
