2012 BMW 328i - Review

As an owner of the previous 3 series BMW, I will be giving my take on the all new 2012 BMW 328i. The BMW 328i is BMW’s entry level 3 series car. The 2012 model has a 240 hp, in-line four-cylinder engine. It’s a 2 liter, dual overhead cam engine that features BMWs Valvetronic technology. This is plenty of power, considering the car is fairly light weight. Acceleration and shifting is very smooth as well. One great thing about this engine is that it gets very good gas mileage, unlike some of the other cars in this class.

The car went under a redesign for 2012, which I think looks quite nice, but I think the old design looks a little bit better. Something about it just looked sharper and sleeker. I was a huge fan of BMW’s previous three series halo ring headlights, which have changed a little bit, but nothing to drastic. Changes to the interior are minor, but definitely noticeable and I have to say that I like the newer interior design better than the previous one.

This car has an abundance of interior features that will probably take you a few weeks to learn. The engine start and stop button is still in place as before. The 328i now comes standard with a USB and iPod adapter whereas before it was an optional upgrade. If you get the chance, the Harmon Kardon stereo system is definitely worth the upgrade. The standard stereo system is very good, but the Harmon Kardon systems stereo quality is top notch. This time around, the technology package includes the navigation system as well as a head up display. There is actually an option for the speed limit information to be displayed in the head up display, which is quite interesting. I have found the head up display to be extremely nice to have when you don’t want to take your eyes off the road.

As far as interior color options go, there is quite an array of choices: Black Dakota leather, black with dark oyster, Dakota leather with black and red highlights, and Dakota leather in saddle brown are just a few of the interior color options. Honestly, I think they all look great, which I can’t say about many cars.

Overall I think BMW did an extremely good job on the 2012 328i. Even though it is the entry level 3 series, you still get an immense amount of features for a stellar price. Going with the sedan version is going to be a good bet for space, but if you are looking for something a bit sportier, the coupe version is great as well. If you’re in the market for a car in this area, it’s definitely worth a test drive and looking into. I have been super pleased with mine thus far.

2012 Celebrity Halloween Costume Ideas; Tanorexic Mom

When it comes to Halloween celebrity costumes are always on top. Last year was Charlie Sheen, Arnold Schwarzenegger and of course Lady Gaga. This year 2012, I feel your top costume ideas will be pregnant Snooki, Katy Perry, Kim Kardashian and The Tanorexic Mom from Jersey. What do they all have in common? If you answered tanning, you’r 100% right. Two of these celebs are actually battling it out for the darkest tan as we speak. That’s right folks, Kim and Patricia are having some serious bronzing competition according to Twitter . So without further adieu, here is how to make your own Snooki, Katy, and Patricia.

Tanorexic Mom (AKA Patricia Krentcil)

The Jersey mom who was accused of taking her 5 year old daughter into a tanning booth. This freakish Mom not only got her 15 minutes of fame, but also a doll has been created, millions of skits and spoofs have been created and God knows what’s next.

Items Needed:

White tank top

Extremely short white ruffled bathing suit bottom/skirt (make sure to have white granny underwear on underneath)

Light pink sweat jacket (add your own peace sign)

Big ugly sunglasses

Horrible hairstyle (make your hair look like you just woke up, throw the hat on and have a ponytail coming out of the back of the hat slot)

Light pink lipstick

Big sliver cuff bracelet

Reddish pink Nike Hat (similar to this one )

And the most important part, the darkest tan you can achieve using face makeup, tanning salon, or sunless tanner. Go around singing a Jay-Z song, and make sure when you smile it looks like you have no front teeth. Try and find a pair of fake gums or dentures to make the costume come more alive.

Homemade Katy Perry Halloween Costume

Katy is like Gaga, you have a lot of costume ideas to choose from. For 2012, Perry has a new movie coming out in July titled ” Part Of Me.” So you can go with her new looks in this movie or one of her classics such as the California Girls, Candyland, Cupcake Bra,Whipped Cream,or Gumball costume.

In the new movie Katy sports a very pretty look with pink hair, bright 80’s pink lips, extreme and bold dark lashes, and a smokey purple eyes. Copy this look from . To create one of her classic looks mentioned above check out this amazing lens on .

Homemade Pregnant Snooki

You can choose the Snooki not pregnant look and add a baby bump or go with Polizzi’s actual pregnant look with the paler skin, dramatic lashes, lots of cheek bronzer, pink lips, huge round sunglasses, huge round earrings, gray highlights throughout your hair,a cute black off the shoulder top with a neon pink tank top underneath, and cute leggings. Snooki’s recent look can be found right here .

2012 Fall Festival in Desoto, TX

I am always looking for new and fun places to take my two children for Halloween, and unfortunately, my neighborhood is just not as festive as it was a few years back. That mean that this year, I have been forced to embark on a quest to find a safe yet fun alternative to walking my neighborhood for Halloween.

If you live in the southern sector of Dallas (this includes, Desoto, Lancaster, Cedar Hill, Red Oak, Glenn Heights, etc.) and you are looking for an alternative to the normal Halloween festivities, then the second annual Fall Harvest in Desoto is the place that you need to be. On Wednesday, October 31, 2012, the Praise Temple Church in Desoto, Texas, will be hosting this year’s event and has stocked up on fun for the entire family. The festivities include a 16×19-foot jumbo-tron television playing classic cartoons all night, bounce houses for the kids to jump and have fun in, and, of course, plenty of opportunities for trick or treating in the church parking lot. They are also preparing traditional games like bobbin for apples, musical chairs, cake walks, and darts to be set up for a chance to win various candy and other treats. The best part about it all is that it is all set up in an environment that is safe and fun for kids of all ages.

This is the perfect opportunity for you to get all dressed up (although the official church bulletin requests that you not wear witch, ghoul, or goblin costumes) and get the whole family involved in a new fall tradition perfect for the entire family. The event is open to everyone in the community and starts at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at The Praise Temple Church, located at 209 West Parkerville Road in Desoto, Texas. Maybe I will see you there with my family.
